The Research On The Functions Of Ideological And Political Education For College Student’s Public Welfare Activities

With further enhancement of economy, the modern people’s lifepursuit begins to increase gradually, which means peoples’ pursuitschange from traditional material things to higher level of spiritual pursuit.So some people choose to travel or go to mountains to purify the mind.But with the deepening of China’s socialist core values, the mental stateof people is getting towards a higher level, and more and more peoplechoose to do public welfare activities. Experiencing satisfaction, peopleboth improve their own moral standards, and give back to the societywithin the scope of their ability. China’s traditional spirit "helping thepoor and others," also inherits and develops in the public welfareactivities.As more and more public welfare activities deeply rooted in the hearts of people, more and more people participate actively. The mostactive one is the youngest university student organization. They arepassionate and enthusiastic. They have received higher education andhave a high recognition of pro-social behavior. They had acceptedMarxism-Leninism and MAO Zedong thought, and ideological andpolitical education at school. While because the traditional universityideological and political education means are boring and simple, and is ofnot of deep contact with the social practice, so once the universitycommunity organization and the ideological and political education fusestogether, which is the perfect unification of contributed to the collegestudents’ ideological and political education. College students’ pro-socialbehavior makes thought leading action and action promoting thought, towitness the meaning of the ideological and political education in practice,and make sense of ideological and political education in practice, and thatis a good way to promote the university ideological education.Take "Caring Home of Taiyuan University of Technology" as thebreakthrough point, this paper studies on college students’ ideologicaleducation function of public welfare activities in order to point withsurface. This research adopts the combination of theory and practice,using the methods of proposing theory, finding out problems, analyzingthe reason, and solving problems. With the question survey of thestudents in Taiyuan University of Technology participating in public welfare activities, this paper analyze the problem in the progress of thecollege students’ public welfare activities, and decomposes the causes oflack of ideological and political educational function. At last, it putsforward the solution and guarantee.
