Nowadays, the college student population becomes important participants in the public welfare activities and the college students’ ideological and political education of public welfare activities becomes a significant new position of the college students’ ideological and political education outside the ideological and political theory class. How to use the college students’ ideological and political education function of public welfare activities to enhance the ideological and political education effectiveness of the college students participating in public welfare activities turns into an increasingly prominent problem.On the basis of clearly defining the concept of the public welfare activities, in-depth analysis of the situations of the college students participating in public welfare activities and clarifying the relationship between public welfare activities and college students’ ideological and political education, in combination with an empirical investigation into the current situations of the college students participating in public welfare and the effect of ideological and political education, this paper makes further efforts on analyzing the influence factors of the effect of the college students’ ideological and political education of public welfare activities and the mechanisms for enhancing the ideological and political education effectiveness of the college students participating in public welfare activities.
