With the rapid development of social economy and the Internet, online education is becoming a teaching method of wide range of applications and large average area. Virtual learning communities as a new model of online education, is a multidisciplinary study field which combines computer technology, psychology,education and other subjects. Many of its researches require discipline background such as computer technology. Educational data mining is to apply the data mining technology of computer field to the field of education, excavating the value law,relationships, information, or other things from large amount of educational data,aiming to provide services for teaching.The teaching data of Virtual learning community is often messy, fragmented, and its value is easily overlooked. Rational use of data mining technology will bring us a multiplier effect in the problem of teaching study, and better support virtual learning community teaching.First of all, this thesis analyzes the teaching strategies in virtual learning communities and builds inference mechanism of teaching strategies. Teaching strategy is the key of realizing personalized teaching and intelligent reasoning in virtual learning communities. The choice of teaching strategies will directly affect the quality of teaching in Virtual Learning Communities. The fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm is used to analyze the the specific features if of learners’ characteristics, and to dig out their common features, then to divide learners into groups. It calculates the match of learning feature vector and condition section of teaching strategies rules by cosine similarity, judges the size of match and threshold, and then recommends appropriate teaching strategies.Finally, this thesis combines complex systems theory to discuss construction of virtual learning communities. From the perspective of artificial intelligence, it uses a bottom-up design approach to construct a virtual learning community platform based on teaching strategies mechanism with multi-Agent technology.
