| As one of the traditional virtues of Chinese people, integrity becomes the basic rule of man’s behavior and the core requirement of a harmonious society. It has been an important topic of China’s overall reform to discover and interpret the value of Chinese excellent traditional culture, and to improve traditional culture education. And the virtue of integrity is one of the main traditional values. Elementary school stage is the key period for forming good faith, and school is the main land to develop student’s virtue of integrity. However, traditional moral education is guided by man, regarding students as the certain object of education and ignores the humanism and democracy during the process of moral education. Therefore, in order to enhance elementary school students’virtue of integrity, and promote the integrity culture construction of elementary school campus and Chinese society, it is necessary to present a new educational mode which can be easily accepted by elementary school students and drive the cultivation of good faith.This paper brings forward a contract-based moral educational mode to integrate the forming of good faith into campus life and help students developing virtue of integrity. By following the technology path of expecting-arguing-constructing, this paper firstly integrate relative researches both at home and abroad by literature study. Then, a basic idea of this study is put forward. With the help of historical method, the basic idea is tested and verified:(1) to confirm that virtue of integrity is the legal basis of contract; (2) to prove the possibility and rationality of contract-based integrity education for elementary school students from perspective of psychological characteristics and life-world. Lastly, some typical cases are analyzed and an operation path is summarized and built. Based on the train of thought above, this paper can be divided into introduction and five main parts.Introduction part mainly talks about research background, significance and research design. This research is based on the reality demand to build an honesty society, as well as the urgency of students’ honesty quality shaping. It conforms to the scientific principle and keeps up with the demand of the age.Part one is about definition and literature review. It discusses what is "contract" and "contract-based integrity education" in this paper. Also, based on previous research, the lack of integrity education during elementary school stage is found and summarized.In part two, the logical relation between contract and the virtue of integrity is analyzed. Since the market economy becomes the foundation of contract-based integrity, there’s a need to build an open, rational and equal relationship of contract-based integrity by breaking down barriers of blood and local relationship, and transforming from traditional human relations to market relations. The drawing and fulfillment of contract, which requires voluntary, equality and mutual benefit between subjects, is a kind of good faith behavior. Therefore, virtue of integrity roots in contract and is the basic quality and guarantee of contract ethics.Part three discusses the rationality of contract-based integrity education for elementary school students. Elementary school students, with scene-based cognitive ability, are in a changeable period of personality development. And they are going through stages of moral development from heteronomy to self-discipline. Thus, the use of "contract" is in accordance with their psychological development needs. At the same time, the elementary students’lives is essentially a kind of contract life with various contracts exist in family life, school life, companion life and public life.In part four, based on specific cases, an operation path of integrity education is constructed, including periods of preparation, formulation, implementation and evaluation. During the preparation period, there’s need to draw an honest atmosphere, strengthen the consciousness of contract, improve teachers’quality and carry out some mobilization activities. And in formulation period, there are steps that should be carry out, such as determining the goal, drawing up the first draft, improving the terms and words, understanding, and signing. In order to strengthen the enforcement, ways like propaganda of contract terms, test of the understanding degree, shaping of performance behavior and participation of parents can be adopted. During the period of evaluation, the selection of evaluation subjects and methods should be appropriate. And the evaluation and management have to depend on the fact and contract terms.The last part is about the support conditions of contract-based integrity education. In order to exert the education function, it is necessary to improve operating principles, perfect rules and regulations, strengthen culture atmosphere, and gain public supports. |
