The new curriculum reform requires weakening disciplinary boundaries, strengthening the infiltration and links between the disciplines and training comprehensive talent with multidisciplinary knowledge and abilities. Geography is a discipline of characteristics comprehensive.There are many links between Geography and others. It fits the requirement of the curriculum reform. In the natural geography teaching, a lot of geographical difficult point problem can be effectively solved through the introduction of mathematical knowledge. It illustrates the application of mathematics in the natural geography teaching is quite necessary. In reality, however,there are many problems such as the scattered and not complete application. In this paper, the research basing on the above problems, from the angle of mathematics analysis in the natural geography teaching material, combining the interview investigation during the period of my education internship,I Put forward the basic principles and specific strategies for how to make the application of mathematical knowledge in natural geography teaching to achieve the purpose of optimizing the geography teaching.The paper mainly adopts the methods including literature research, statistical analysising, summing up materials. First of all, the concept of the mathematical knowledge need to be defined, And then I read and finished a large number of literature to understand the mathematical knowledge in geography teaching application research and the significance of the status quo, find the theoretical supports(All-round development theory, The theory of the zone of proximal development, Positive transfer theory) to carry out the paper research, I have been clear about the research train of thought that is getting the distribution characteristics and the function of diversification property of mathematical knowledge by the statistical analysis of mathematical knowledge in the textbooks;Based on these features and functions,discussing the current mathematics application problems in geography teaching and putting forward the basic principles and specific strategies.After systematic research, This paper argues that the application of mathematics knowledge in the natural geography teaching should follow in the basic principles of due course, moderate, appropriate amount,respecting the fact,flexible application. On the specific strategy,we can mainly work on three angles: teachers, students, education environment. The teacher is the key,and they should set up the consciousness of the applied mathematics knowledge in geography teaching, improve their comprehensive quality,make a Sufficient preparation,keep the geographical,enrich the form of knowledge of applied mathematics, make feedback and evaluation timely; Students must have the subject consciousness, dine tend to slam the door, trying to cultivate interest in learning, forming a good habit of mathematical thinking in geographic study;Besides,a good education environment should be created, making Appropriate optimization sorting order, providing more protection for geography teaching.Only the mutual coordination between the elements of Geography teaching is effective, can we achieve the desired effect.Finally, I clarified the possible problems which will be gradually improved and solved in the future in this paper and Geography education peers will make greater progress for relevant research! I hope this thesis can throw away a brick in order to get ages.
