Basketball Situation And Development Strategy In Xiamen Vocational Colleges

In China, playing basketball is the most popular movement and also the most favorite one in colleges. It is of great significance to enhance the physical fitness of students and to the all-round development of students. In the basketball teaching, "Fitness First" should be kept as a guide line and a good habit of "lifelong exercise" should be formed as a main goal.It is instructive to accelerate the development of college basketball movement in Xiamen.This article intents to provide theoretical evident to promote the development of the basketball sports in colleges in Xiamen by the way of analyzing the curriculum setting, teaching in class, extracurricular activities, the training and the competitions between the school basketball teams in 10 colleges in Xiamen through the method of literature, questionnaire survey method, interview method and more other method.The results of the study:(1) The total hours of basketball teaching in colleges in Xiamen colleges is far from enough, which is usually only 72 hours. And in the teaching of basketball practice class teaching emphasis. The system of teaching assessment and evaluation is not perfect, ignoring the individual differences of students and the process evaluation.Although the age structure of basketball teachers in Xiamen colleges is reasonable, the proportion of teachers with high education and high professional titles is too small. However, basketball teachers’self-improvement consciousness is strong. More and more teachers are going for the on-the-job master’s degree.(2)In Xiamen colleges, various forms of basketball match are organized in their spare time, and These games to promote the development of basketball.(3)In Xiamen colleges, the structure of the team of the school is good. League matches are well-organized. Communication between Xiamen teams and Taiwan teams is getting better. But The basketball team training cycle is short, and not enough system, so, the level is very low.lt is need to improved.(4)The construction of stadiums always lags and the department in charge has not put enough attention to the development of basketball in colleges in Xiamen hindered the development of basketball movement.
