The Study Of Present Situation And Development Strategy Of The Masses Basketball In The Process Of National Fitness In Rural Areas Of Fuqing City

The study of present situation and strategy of the masses basketball development and experience in the rural areas of the overseas Chinese hometown Fuqing city[Abstract] Under the present background of economy and national fitness, basketball movement develops rapidly with economic development. Meanwhile, more and more people take their part in the basketball activities all over China. In this article, I try to analyze the masses basketball development and experience in the rural areas of the overseas Chinese hometown Fuqing city, an economically developed coastal area in Fujian province. The investigation of the main factors influencing the development of the masses basketball is carried out through questionnaire method and expert interviews. The rural areas of Fuqing would be divided into four parts as northern, southern, eastern and western part, in which part two hometowns such as Longtian, Haikou, Yangxia, Chengtou, Honglu, Jingyang, Yuxi and Jiangyin etc. would be chose as study object to talk about the development of masses basketball. By the analysis of participants in the cultural, economic, motivation, sports venues and media, the results prove as following:The masses basketball is not mature in rural areas of Fuqing where the economy is quite developed. The masses basketball is not mature in rural areas of Fuqing where the economy is quite developed. The participants of mass basketball is given priority to teenagers and the numbers will decline with the increase the age. Most of the participants have a high school diploma or higher with the motive diversification and entertainment enhanced. The level of exercise intensity is not high which about twice a week. They are lack of not only professional basketball instructor guidance but also the scientific approach to management. The fund is mainly from village committee grants, entrepreneurs and overseas Chinese sponsors etc.How to change the status quo of masses basketball in rural areas of Fuqing requires enough attention and support of leaders as well as the masses that need to establish scientific management system to improve the basketball development in rural areas of Fuqing.
