The research of immigration from mainland of China to Taiwan has always been the important content in the study of the history of Taiwan. This paper takes "the whole sets of Taiwan poem" as the basic material, to explore the transition of Taiwan immigrant society in the Qing dynasty. I think the social transformation of Taiwan immigrants in the Qing dynasty does not exist fixed patterns, such as the "mainland" or "indigenous" or "two-way" theories, which had been proposed by scholars in the past time. It has experienced a long process. The process can be divided into three stages:The first stage is the initial stage of Taiwan society ranging from Ming zheng period to Kangxi period. The second stage is the social transformation period which rangs from Yongzheng period to Jiaqing period. We can see a period of Taiwan’s social stability and prosperity in the third stage. This stage starts at Daoguang period and ends in the Guangxu period. The transition of Taiwan immigrant society is universal, but it also has its regional distinctiveness.
