At present, with the maturing of network technology and the rapid development of science and information technology, the advantages of multimedia technology increasingly stand out in all walks of life, to a certain extent, which plays a certain role of promoting for the continuous development and reform of the education teaching. In senior middle school stage of learning, high school math as an important culture course has rather strong abstraction and logicality, leading to the certain difficulties of learning of students and teaching of teachers, meanwhile, which caused some of the pressure of learning and teaching. In order to satisfy the requirement of new curriculum reform and ultimately achieve the teaching goal, the multimedia technology as a new type of modern auxiliary teaching method that is playing an increasingly important role in the high school mathematics teaching, although it makes up for many deficiencies of traditional teaching mode, there are still some problems and challenges in the teaching process, the constant practice and explore are an essential part, which promotes reasonable and effective application of multimedia technology in the high school mathematics teaching.This research mainly consulted a lot of related references and questionnaire survey, based on the domestic and foreign research situation of the information technology application, many problems of the multimedia application in the high school mathematics teaching at present were put forward, such as unreasonable use of the multimedia teaching leading to interaction between teachers and students, the degree of difficulty in grasping of multimedia etc. For the high school mathematics teaching of Zhongshan city of guangdong province as an example, so as to detailed understand of the use skills of the teachers and the accept ability of students in multimedia teaching by the way of questionnaire survey, the survey results show that teachers with different academic qualifications and age are not the same, the age is smaller and higher education is more dominant, most students have a strong ability to accept multimedia teaching, meanwhile, problems should be timely found and noticed in the process of teaching, the considerations and relevant solving strategys of effective application of the multimedia teaching in high school mathematics teaching could be put forward. In addition, the study also found that the interaction between teachers and students and students and students can make more full effect on the multimedia technology in high school mathematics teaching, at the same time, which abundantly reflected the function of student autonomy and teacher dominant, and there is of great significance for the improve of quality and efficiency of high school mathematics teaching.
