Academic procrastination is procrastination that occurs in the academic context, is mainly refers to students volunteered to postpone plans related to learning tasks, at the same time accompanied by subjective discomfort. Studies have shown that academic procrastination in resulting in a decline in the grades of the students at the same time, the resulting negative emotions can also affect the students’ physical and mental health, have important influence on junior middle school students. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to use academic procrastination scale, such as the present academic procrastination in junior middle school students, and research and academic procrastination and self-efficacy, the relationship between the family upbringing, junior middle school students to help overcome the academic procrastination, form good habits of behavior, for education workers to provide the theoretical basis of education intervention.This research adopts stratified sampling method in middle school in hunan province to select the questionnaire survey was conducted among 800 students. By spss17.0 statistical analysis, this study the following conclusions:(1) the junior high school students do not have a high level of academic procrastination. Delay exist significant differences in grade school, the degree of academic procrastination from junior to senior showed a trend of rising. Academic procrastination does not exist significant differences in gender.(2) of the junior middle school students self-efficacy there exist significant differences in gender, grade.(3) academic procrastination are negatively correlated with father’s emotional warmth understanding; Academic procrastination and his father refused to deny, excessive protection of low positive correlation. Academic procrastination are negatively correlated with mother’s emotional warmth understanding; Academic procrastination and his mother refused to deny, punish severely low positive correlation.(4) self-efficacy in family upbringing and partial intermediary role between academic procrastination, self-efficacy can directly affect the academic procrastination, but can be by academic emotions affect academic procrastination.(5) self-efficacy and academic procrastination moderate negative correlation. In particular, self-efficacy and father emotional warmth understand present moderate positive correlation; Self-efficacy excessive interference present low positive correlation with his father. Self-efficacy mother’s emotional warmth and understanding present moderatepositive correlation; Self-efficacy and mother excessive interference excessive protection, mother’s preference for participants to present low positive correlation; Self-efficacy and mother refused to deny, punish severely low negative correlation.(6) of the junior middle school students self-efficacy and academic procrastination is significant negative correlation, can significantly predict academic procrastination. Mother refused to deny, self-efficacy on junior middle school students academic procrastination have prediction effect.
