Research On The Influence Of CBA Sports Events To The Image Of Ningbo City

Sporting events carried out in today’s society is no longer a mere sporting activities, but has developed into the political, economical and cultural exchange platform between countries, cities and people owing to the speeding up of commercialization and globalization. Distinct multi-dimensional, integrated and socially organized sporting events will greatly promote the economic development, urban construction, scientific and technological progress, environmental improvement and life quality of the host city. Poly-media effects of sports events and sports activities make the host city in a unique cultural symbol to spread. Cities can popularize their urban images such as humanistic philosophy, natural scenery and urban culture into people’s lives by organizing sporting events of all types and sizes.Ningbo City actively organizes domestic and international sporting events to improve the local economic structure, enhance local economic development and promote the city’s image. This paper, based on numerous articles dealing with influence sports events on the city image and CIS theory, interprets the impact CBA sports have on the image of Ningbo City from the perspective of concept identity impact, behavior recognition impact and visual recognition impact. This paper, taking Ningbo people for the survey target,research the influence on Ningbo after being chose as the CBA home post. From the suvey, especially from the concept recognition and behavior recognition suvey, we can figure out that CBA sports have a positive impact on Ningbo city image promote the formation of Ningbo people’s exercise habits.
