Writing, the third part of the College Entrance Examination, accounts for a large proportion 25/120(minus the listening) in high school English learning. Thus, writing plays an important role in the high school English learning. As teachers, we have a responsibility to explore new methods of teaching writing. Senior 3,the graduating class, is even more urgent need for efficient writing guidelines.It has proved that Process genre Approach has advantages in time and effect, which takes less time but achieves striking effect. The Approach tallies with the fact that English Writing as a Foreign Language is poor in China at present and it should be popularized by experiments”( for example Han Jinlong, 2001). The approach has been practiced in a lot of colleges and high schools in China, and has a high performance. But the experiment yet has not been in a good use and promotion to most secondary schools of Gui Zhou, especially in the author’s hometown Liu Panshui.On the basis of previous studies, the author would like to introduce process-genre approach to her own teaching classes, especially for narrative writing, attempting to answer:1) whether the process genre approach can enhance students’ writing skills? Whether the process genre approach can develop students’ good writing habits from their language and writing formal procedures? Whether the process genre approach can help students develop the ability to construct discourse from writing content, purpose and language function, etc., to explore the potential of their writing? Whether the process genre approach can significantly improve the writing skills of students?Therefore, the author carried out the experiments in her classes: Class 6and Class 7 in senior 3 for a period of 5 months(August 2013 to January2014), taking five exams, then analyzing the scores of final exam to demonstrate the assumptions of the study.To verify the hypothesis, the author made an experiment, and analyzed the results by excel. The results demonstrated that the above hypotheses is right.
