| As an important component of creating a sports power, the development and popularization of university badminton, which is a form of the sunlight sports in the school and a driving factor in the development of mass sports in our country, is to realize the national fitness program and lifelong sports. The development of university badminton directly affects the harmonious development of our country’s sports enterprise and the cause of education. Badminton has become one of the mainstream sports in colleges and universities. With increasing participation, to form and develop the badminton sports teams in colleges and universities will become a trend, which is also an important factor of promoting competitive badminton and mass badminton. Analyzing the actual situation of university badminton sports teams, we can have a bird’s eye view of its development situation on the macro, so as to find the existing problems in the development of colleges and universities badminton and to solve it.We investigate the current development situation of 13 coaches and 89 athletes, who attended the “Warm Breeze Cup” badminton match in Shanxi province in 2014 and rank each top 4 in team A and B. By analyzing the related data, we find out the current problems which restrict the development of the badminton sports teams in colleges and universities, and puts forward the corresponding strategy, Which on one hand, provide practical value of realistic reference for the future development of college sport, and on the other hand, put forward suggestions to promote the fast and stable development of university badminton team.By literature review and visiting, we collect the present research situation of university badminton sports teams and the relevant information query and master the frontier information; By the method of questionnaire investigation and interview, we investigate the each top 4 coaches and athletes who attended the “Warm Breeze Cup” badminton match in Shanxi province. On the base of the data statistics, we use logic analysis and case analysis to find out the existing problems and put forward relevant improvement measures.Conclusion:1. There is imbalance of competitive strength and regional distribution in college badminton and universities lack of communication platform;2. More and more colleges and universities attend the badminton competitions, but the monopoly phenomenon is serious;3. The structure of badminton team is unreasonable, which is also the focus on selecting future athletes;4. The daily training management of badminton sports teams is chaos, the training time and the frequency is low, the competition goal level is also low;5. To set up reasonable coach teams is an important factor to improve the level of badminton team training, school leadership support is the key to building good coach teams;6. To improve the badminton social awareness and increase match communication will promote the development of badminton sports teams.Suggestion:1.
