With the development of information technology and the curriculum reform, the computer application becomes more and more popular in education, especially the application of multimedia technology has become one of the important means in teaching. On the basis of the research of computer assisted instruction(CAI), the paper analyzes the application status, the development status of today’s multimedia animation courseware in the middle school chemistry teaching. The paper includes the characteristics, advantages of animation courseware, which based on the principles and process to follow on the courseware development. The author made a chemical animation courseware system, hoping to enrich teaching resources and assisting the teaching purpose of the curriculum reform. Another purpose is to provide reference for the development of future and lay the foundation for two times the development of courseware.The experimental parts of the High-school chemistry text book 1 published by People’s Education Press in 2004 are selected to be developed into Flash courseware in this work. By taking Flash Professional CC as the main tool, finally a chemical experiment courseware system was established. The system consists of 15 independent demo courseware, each of which contains "the experiment principle", "experimental procedure", "note" and "practice" four plates. In the experiment part, the courseware with abundant instrument, bright color, reasonable and realistic animation button and so on in the hope that can achieve the visual and auditory visual effect of chemical experiment. This paper discusses the important factors in chemical development process of Flash courseware, such as teaching design, script design, material production, animation and so on, leading to summarize some practical experience and method. The courseware system can broadcast directly through the Windows interface. It is convenient for teachers and students to use the courseware system.During my education internship, I tested and trialed the courseware system. The teachers and students all agreed that the courseware system is excellent, they also put forward a lot of valuable amendments. At the meantime, I modified and improved courseware. In addition, the production of methods, principles and ideas involved in this paper can provide reference for the development of some teachers or the user of Flash courseware.
