Because of the particularity of the process in historical and social development, people of all ethnic groups in our country gradually formed the ethnic group which is called Chinese nation in the common life in the history. Thus, our national cultural identity is divided into two layers to be discussed, one is for the ethnic cultural identity, and another one is the cultural identity of Chinese nation. The thesis mainly focuses on the children of the Xibe ethnic cultural identity.This research, based on the related researches at home and abroad which have been finished. Taking the social life and cultural characteristics of Xibe into consideration, then compiled children ethnic cultural identification scale. After the early predictive questionnaire(N=98, issued N male =40, female N =58), to take further revision to form the final national cultural identity scale.The scale for the national cultural identity of Children has been issued in Xinjiang Ili region(N = 252 male, female = 224 N, N = 476).The interview has been hold with the children and teachers of Xibe nationality.Those schooners who had paid a lot of attention to Xibe ethnic culture were also get involved into it. According to the result of the questionnaire data statistics and analysis, combined with the open interviews to understand the present situation of Xibe ethnic cultural identity of children.Through the analysis of data, the results as following:(1)The reliability of the national cultural identity questionnaire is high. There are 20 items in the questionnaire, which includes four dimensions: cognition, assessment, emotion and behavior.(2) The children in Xinjiang Ili region have a high level performance in Xibe national cultural identity; hold a positive attitude towards ethnic cultural identity. The performance of national cultural identity in the four dimensions shows obvious tendency of differentiation and imbalance. The average score emotional dimension and evaluation dimension is higher than others. The cognitive dimension and behavior dimension score is lower.(3)The study found that among the influence factors of the national cultural identity, mother’s education background for the bachelor’s degree, father’s education background for bachelor’s degree to become an important factor. The children whose mother or father holds bachelor’s degree got a higher score in questionnaire.The factors related to the father’s and mother‘s ethnic group reach at significant level, especially in the cognitive dimension, emotional dimension, evaluation dimensions.(5) The influence of gender factor and habitat properties in Xibe nationality national cultural identity of children has not reached significant level.According to the current of Xibe ethnic cultural identity among children and adolescents, then combining with the issues in education of Xibe cultural which lies in the choice of teaching content, the set-up of curriculum, and the difficulty in curriculum development team, suggested that set the social various aspects strength building a team for the development of school-based curriculum, selecting the Xibe nationality outstanding traditional culture, set up the integrated curriculum and make full use of the form of "theme activity" to carry out the school-based curriculum Xibe ethnic characteristics.
