The teacher education has three stages, which are pre-service teacher education stage,entry teacher education stage and in-service teacher education stage. The education training of pre-service teacher is an important means to cultivate teachers’ innovation ability, practical ability, professional quality and to qualify teachers. As the powerful education nation in the world, China and America have attached great importance to the education training of pre-service teacher and are improving the system. This paper analyzes the education training of pre-service teacher in China and America comparatively, in order to improve our education training of pre-service teacher form the United States experience.This paper researches on the issue of education training of pre-service teacher in China and the United States by using literature research, comparative research and case study. This thesis introduces the theoretical basis, preparation, specific implementation, security mechanism and evaluation of education training respectively. By comparing the present situation of education training in two countries, the paper analyzes their similarities and differences from theoretical basis, which are diverse in two countries, but are relatively mature in United States; From preparation, which are both well prepared, but American students’ understanding of training schools is relatively sufficient and the funding is more abundant; From the specific implementation, which are similar in purpose, content, form, the selections of college supervisor and choosing training base, but are different not only in the process, that is, the United States pays more attention to the practical ability of pre-service teachers, lasts for a long time, relatively strict in the selection of college supervisor and more mature in the construction of training base is, but also in the organizational set-up and management; From security system especially in quality requirement, which is more strict in the United States and the information technology resources are relatively abundant in United States. Finally, by combining the experience of American student teaching and shortcomings of Chinese student teaching,the paper puts forward some suggestions for improving student teaching in our country: To make adequate preparations for the education training; To streng-then education training supervision; To prolong education training time; To improve education training content; To regular education training security mechanism and to perfect education training evaluation mechanism.Though China and the United States are different in history, culture, social background and educational system, the experience of pre-service teachers’ education training in the United States can provide some references for our country to optimize pre-service teacher education training.
