In the background of the whole society to strengthen the education of traditional culture, in the trend of the rapid development of information technology, smart mobile communication devices with each passing day, micro class, micro learning becomes more prevalent, this study based on the analysis of the existing problems in the history teaching in middle school, the characteristics of the mobile microlearning and the situational learning advantage, try to design and develop a client mobile microlearning APP to secondary school history teaching, in order to rich the forms of learning history, improve the quality of history teaching in secondary schools, and expect to develop their ability to analyse and solve problems and correct historical outlook, outlook on life and values with the process of constantly learning and analysis of historical knowledge and problem.The paper is divided into five parts:(1) Retrieval of micro learning materials at home and abroad, using the method of literature research, understand the development background, research status and basic theory of microlearning, history of situated learning and mobile client APP design, to lay a solid foundation for the follow-up study.(2) According to the relevant theory of situated learning and micro learning, reference to the relevant instructional design model, and combined with the characteristics of mobile microlearning, this research puts forward the overall conception and the idea, principle and model of microlearning APP design, thus provides the ideological and theoretical guidance for the APP design.(3) Based on the proposed design model and using the survey research method to analysis of the learning needs, learner characteristics, content and learning situation before designs and developments, and then define the principles and methods of creating history of learning situation based on APP.(4) About learning resources and learning activities are contextual design according to the proposed principles and methods and provide interactive function, construct learning community, to form a contextualized history learning environment based on APP, and finally completes the design.(5) Puts the APP into a range of target populations for testing, then collect the feedback information of user experience and shortcomings on the design of APP was improved, finally promote the finished product.The theoretical results of this study, can be used to provide reference and guidance for other developers when they do the related designs and researches. Practical results can be used as a supplementary tools for middle school teachers teaching and students learning history.
