In the 1980 s, with the reform and opening-up and social transformation, great changes have taken place in the families structure in China, the divorce rate increases gradually, the number of single-parent family increases rapidly, and the growth problem of single-parent children’s growth turns to be more and more prominent. Family is a significant and key system for the socialization of children, and the disintegration of complete family structure will bring inevitable impact on the children, and it may produce the dilemma suffered by single-parent children in the growth. The growth dilemma of single-parent children is mainly reflected in several aspects, such as the difficulty in self-identification, difficulty in interpersonal communication, social discrimination, etc.How to help single-parent children in growth dilemma to deal with and prevent problems effectively is the focus of this research. Resilience is a significant ability and quality, which can promote individuals to cope with the adversity properly, maintain the balance in mind and body, which is a significant protective barrier for single-parent children. In this paper, group work is applied for the intervention in single-parent children from the perspective of resilience. Meanwhile, group members shall be measured with resilience, questionnaires. It can be discovered through comparing the data, group members and feedback from parents that: The improvement of resilience will contribute to prevent and improve the mental and behavior problems of single-parent children. And the group work is an effective measure for improving the resilience of single-parent children.
