Study On The Validity Of Ideological And Political Education In The Background Of Mass Culture At College

China is in the major period of social reform and transition at present, social problems and conflicts reveal together. Strengthening the domination of mainstream culture to students’ culture is the spiritual motion to realize Chinese dream with concerted efforts. Compared to this, with the development of reform in China, mass culture affects students’ thoughts and behaviors everyday and all-round. Facing the explosion of mass culture, we not only can see the opportunities it brings to ideological and political education for students, but also the challenges. It is urgent and important to overcome the negative influence of mass culture on the validity of ideological and political education at college and makes best use of its advantages to improve students’ ideological and political education.For the problem of how to overcome the negative influence of mass culture on the validity of ideological and political education at college, this paper puts forward some constructive suggestions from educational concept, contents, patterns, carrier and practice, to make ideological and political education to follow the laws of students’ physical and mental development, adjust to their demand for development so as to improve the validity of ideological and political education at college.
