In order to adapt to the social and economic development, and to meet the enterprises demand for Technical skilled talents, vocational colleges determine educational objectives according to "For the purpose of service, with the orientation of employment", focusing on the improvement of the vocational ability. The project teaching method, based on Constructivist Learning Theory, the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, cognition-discovery learning theory, and so on, takes the project as the main line, the teacher as the orientation, the student as center. Compared with the traditional teaching method, project teaching method can integrate the vocational demands for talents’ ability, fuse the knowledge of multi-disciplines, so that students can master the professional knowledge and skills in the process of education. In recent years, more and more vocational colleges have adopted the project teaching method, and the quality of the method has drawn the social attention increasingly. The issue which evaluates the method to meet the needs of the vocational education development is worth studying and solving.Currently, Taylor’s Behavior-Target Model are used for mostly the evaluation of teaching, once the target is established, focusing on evaluation of the achievement of goals, but ignoring the evaluation of the established goal rationality, process and unintended consequences. Therefore, the new evaluation model is needed. CIPP evaluation model is decision-oriented and the evaluation is throughout the whole process. The model not only emphasizes on the evaluation of goal itself, but also the evaluation of a variety of resources, processes and unexpected results. "The purpose of the evaluation is not to prove, but is to improve." CIPP evaluation model serves the decision-makers. That CIPP evaluation model is applied to evaluation of project teaching method in vocational colleges can provide information for decision-makers, so as to guide decision-making, improve teaching programs and accomplish the teaching goals.Based on the detail of related theories like CIPP evaluation model, project teaching method, using the CIPP evaluation model to construct evaluation index system, the thesis adopts four first-level index and twelve second-level index to accomplish questionnaire survey. Carrying out questionnaire survey about the project teaching method in a vocational college in Liaoning Province, based on statistics and analysis of the survey, the paper points out the problems of the college in the process of implementing project teaching method, and suggests improvements.
