Study On College Students Management And Countermeasures Under The Impact Of Neo-liberalism

Neo-liberalism, an economic theory, formed in the period of capitalistic great depression, has been driven into practice from theory by the developed western capitalist countries. It has gradually become a specifics capitalistic ideology in the worldwide along with the development of globalization. China’s reform and opening-up policy is inevitably accompanied by the infiltration of the western liberalism, which advocates liberalization, marketization, privatization and globalization. Neo-liberalism has a great influence on the university students in China. Some of them have Marxism identity crisis, deny collectivistic value while breeding extreme individualism, have cognitive deviation and excessively pursue freedom and fairness, deny traditional virtue while upholding utilitarianism, lack the sense of self-discipline and thus lead to the lax way of act.The reform and opening-up policy as well as the development of the socialist market have caused new ideology features such as pluralism, diversity and polytropy. In the worldwide, ideology and culture are communicating, blending and conflicting that a new battlefield in the value appears. Under such circumstance, the management of college and university students is experiencing a great challenge in China. How can we solve the problem of teaching and management of the students in the era of multiply and complex international background? In order to achieve the goal of college education, the teaching staff should face the new research subject mentioned above.This paper borrows ideas from the research results of politics, pedagogy, management science, psychology and sociology. With the synthetic use of all kinds of research methods such as literature research, contradiction analysis, systematic approach, survey and statistic method, attribution study and so on, it shows basic theory, presents situation, analyzes factors and studies countermeasures from the aspects of theory and practice.This paper includes five parts.Part 1 This is an introduction which states the research significance, research review at home and abroad, research ideas and methods.Part II This part summarizes the concept of Neo-liberalism and the college students management.Part III This part surveys and analyzes the present situation of college students management under the impact of Neo-liberalism.Part IV This part shows and analyzes the challenges and problems that the college students management confronts.Part V This part puts forward five countermeasures. First, manage college students by the method of contradiction analysis; Second, integrate socialistic core value into college students management; Third, build a qualified college teaching team and speed up the process of professionalism and specialization; Four, improve campus network and make the full use of new media platform; Five, construct a service-type college and build a platform for the college students’ growing-up.
