In the reform of education, the curriculum reform is an indispensable link, as one of the text of the curriculum, the textbook is the important embodiment of the curriculum reform concept and content; At the same time, the quality of the textbook writing, the level of writing directly affect the final effect of the education and curriculum reform. Therefore,It is very important and necessary to study the textbook in the course of improving the quality of education and improving the effectiveness of the course. This paper is the comparison of the Chemistry Textbook for junior middle school in Japan, South Korea and China. Which for compared is the Chemistry (for grade 9) published by the PEP, New Science in Japan, the Science in South Korea.Japan and South Korea are important neighbors of China in Asia, worth us for reference and reference. At present, researches of Britain, America and other western developed countries education system, textbooks and teaching methods, and there is no to our neighboring countries such as Japan and South Korea were comparative study, it is still blank and worth to studying. This paper consists of five parts as following:The introduction is about the significance, methods and current situation of the research, the literature review summarizes the background information of the research; The background of junior middle school chemistry education in three countries is a brief analysis of the basic education system of the three countries, and the comparison of the chemistry curriculum standards and the compiling idea of the textbook;Comparison of three junior high school chemistry content:design the modules of three typical teaching materials, design knowledge, experimental design, program design, graphic design, design exercises, system, form of expression and STSE embodiment of the compare specifically. Conclusion and considerationThrough these studies, the following conclusions was draw:1、Characteristics of each module of the column and the three classic textbook design; Chinese textbook has more difficult knowledge pointed out significantly, South Korea’s is most simple; professional experiments is more in Chinese textbook, moderate in Japan, South Korea has less of experimental; image design of Japan and South Korea is more than Chinese; exercises in China is much more and difficult but less flexibly than in Japan and South Korea,; in the STSE situation reflect, South Korea is the best.2、The textbook of chemistry in our country is a typical textbook which is written in the center of knowledge. It is systematic and highly intellectual, but is weak in relation to life.3、The textbook of "new science" in Japan is written in the center of society, which is of both knowledge and interest. The material system is slightly worse than the PEP one.4、South Korea "science" teaching material takes the students as the center, takes the interest as most important, the knowledge and the system is weak. The following suggestions for the preparation of our country’s teaching materials:(1)in the content of the arrangement, make the teaching program more carefully, such as carefully designed to import plate.(2) in the presentation mode, increase the more lively pictures or illustrations.(3)in the exercise design, to increase the more interesting way to help students to consolidate knowledge and skills.(4)in the supplementary material, consider to increase more chemical history content.(5)Ordinary educators can refer to other versions of the textbook in the course of the design ideas, supplementary content or pictures, etc.
