Objective: By high glucose and lipid binding streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats, moderate aerobic exercise in diabetic rats, observe the movement to ease the kidney of iron overload in diabetic rats, reduce the impact of peroxidation damage the kidneys.Methods: The 12-month-old SD rats, diabetic model copied by high sugar high fat diet. 16 successful model rats were randomly divided into diabetic quiet group(DC group, N=8) and diabetes exercise group(DE group, N=8), and the establishment of quiet control group(CC group, N=8). DC and CC group to keep quiet, three groups were fed with normal diet. DE group treadmill training(0.9km/h, incline 5%, 2.862°) 45min/d, 6d/W, 5W. Testing rats blood, total iron binding capacity, serum iron, total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, total iron content kidney and renal MDA, SOD, CAT, GSH-Px, ELISA serum ferritin, kidney 8-OHdG, serum insulin in each group after 5 weeks. Renal tissue sections by HE staining and PAS staining analyzed morphological changes.Results: HDL increased significantly(P ﹤0.05), blood glucose, serum insulin and HOMA- IR very significantly lower(P ﹤0.01), HOMA- the ISI increased(P ﹤0.01) when DE group compared with DC group;The Hb concentration,erythrocyte deposited of DE were very higher than those of DC group(P<0.01)(P<0.05). DE group renal capsule wall was slightly thickened basement membrane mild hyperplasia, tubular small amount of fat vacuoles. While DC group increase significantly in glomerular volume, mesangial matrix hyperplasia, thickening of basement membrane. Area of the basement membrane thickening, appear fat cavitation and kidney lesions such as granular degeneration. Serum iron, transferrin significantly increased saturation(P<0.01), kidney iron content decreased(P<0.01) significantly serum ferritin; Transferrin saturation with a very significant increase and higher than CC group(P<0.01). Kidney SOD, CAT, GSH-Px activity of antioxidant enzymes, such as significantly increased kidney MDA, 8-OHdG were significantly decreased(P<0.05, P<0.01). Compared with the DC group, DE group basement membrane, mesangial proliferation was significantly reduced, tubular lower fat vacuoles.Conclusion: Blood glucose, blood lipid levels and insulin resistance of diabetic rats was reduced significantly, then insulin sensitivity was improve, and the diabetic conditionwas easing by treadmill exercise;Secend,the kidney tissue structure of diabetic rats was relieved after the treadmill exercise. In addition, the iron content andantioxidant enzymes in the kidney tissues of diabetic rats was reduced by treadmill exercise, and delay the emergence of symptoms of diabetic nephropathy.
