With the development of Internet, the network has in-depth study and people, s life. In such a case, traditional teaching methods can not fully meet the needs of learners. In order to adapt to the times background, educators are trying to find the breakthrough. Educational requirements for the education informationization have become more urgent. Just under this background came into being micro lesson. Micro lesson is becoming from new education resources to new form of teaching. In order to promote the efficiency of learning, it begins walk into the class.There are five points in this paper: The first is background, the author analysis the demand of education informationization from the big background of the network development. In the process, the author focused on the domestic background. In recent years, the author explains factors to promote the development of micro lesson from national and the Ministry of education requirements for the development of education. Secondly, the paper analysis of micro lesson research status domestic and overseas by the method of literature. Such as Britain and America, the research of the development of micro lesson in domestic.It is presented by the form of table. The domestic trend and current situation of micro lesson was finished by literature method. The third of the research are definiting the concept and analysing the basic theory of micro lesson. There are two main parts. The first part, by comparing the relevant teaching mode and "micro" concept, deepen understanding of the micro lesson. Perspectived by the "Curriculum" and "lesson",the difference with the "micro lesson" and "micro Courses" and the characteristics of "micro lesson". The second part analyzes the theoretical basis of the micro lesson, in order to guide the design and development and application of micro lesson. The fouth is designing and developing the geography micro lesson of senior high school. The author selected some geographic works from the micro lesson website in domestic research; found that there are some problems on micro lesson work, summary the micro lesson design principle. On the basis of the previous micro lesson design model, the design and development process of micro lesson designapplied to senior high school geography teaching is designed; In addition, combined with "build the surface morphology of power" case to illustrate the micro lesson production process, and pointed out attentions. The fifth is the senior high schoolgeography teaching application of micro lesson. The author adopts the method of combining questionnaire and interview, the geography teachers as the research object to understand the micro lesson application, put forward to promote the application of micro lesson in senior high school geography teaching strategy; By the experimental method, the author is analysing the effect in high school geography class teaching. It is providing reference for teachers and researchers.
