Since May 2010, the British Coalition Government has implemented a series of changes in the education system, Especially free school project, Which promotes educational equity, reflectes the concept of freedom of education, improves the quality of education. In full review of the literature at home and abroad on the British Free school,we launch a research project.First, We clear the meaning,type and course of developmentment of the British Free school, after that, we sum up the historical, cultural and political conditions of the implementation of the free school. Then,we analyses the problem of Free Schools.There are still much criticism on the free school.Such as, the market-oriented philosophy of the free school can hardly achieved the fair education, The management authority of the free school is still unclear, The free school has taked up limited funds and teaching resources.So that,in order to achieve educational equity and the improvement of education,a positive reform should be made.Thirdly,we analyses the experience of Free Schools.The entry stage,The operational phase, The policy evaluation phase of the British Free school project are analyzed.The implementation of the free school project reflects the purpose of fair and free, the autonomy rights has improved,which can be exhibited in the educational philosophy, the school type, administration, teaching management, and so on.At the same time,the free school project promotes innovation of education, reflecting the needs of parents and students. It also reflects the marketing purpose of the Free school.Finally, We study the education problem in our nation, the manangement and operation of the public schools relyed on the funds of goverment,the management of public school is rigid,the educationl effect is not high. However, shortage of operating funds and large mobility of teachers are in front of the private school.Besides,the allocation of resources in public and private schools is inequality, education in different levels and areas of school is inequity, educational resources obtained by different families is also quite different.Learning from the experience of the British Free school education, we give the following suggestions for improvement: We should advocate educational equity in the educational philosophy; the authority of manangement of school should be expanded; school should focus on the improvement of the overall development of students; the need of students and parents should be considered; constructing a high level team of teachers and strengthening inter-school cooperation is necessary.Our study is the first study on the research of the British free school,.This paper analyses current problems of our nation education system, combining positive and negative experiences of the British Free school project. We give a series of suggestions to improve our education,so that,our study has theoretical and practical significance.
