The New Progress And Inspiration Of British Apprenticeship Since 2009

The modern apprenticeship is different from the traditional apprenticeship, which incorporates the school education into the traditional apprenticeship. The modern apprenticeship has changed the traditional teaching methods and the contents of the courses. In 1993, the UK introduced the ’Modern Apprenticeship’ Project. After several decades, the UK has already formed a complete apprenticeship system.The apprenticeship has been highly praised by British employers and young people. Many young people set the apprenticeship as their goal; they regard it as an important way to enter into many professional and technical jobs. Since the UK has put the "Apprenticeship, Skills, Children and Learning Act" into act in 2009, the apprenticeship is protected by law, and the development of apprenticeship has entered into a new time of legalization. Then, Richard made a review on apprenticeship, to re-examine the British Apprenticeship. The report is mainly about how to develop the apprenticeship in the future, and it has attracted the attention of the government. In order to enhance the skill level and the international competitiveness of the country, the UK government decided to reform the apprenticeship, and establish a world-class apprenticeship.At present, China is actively building a’ Modern Vocational Education System’, deepening the integration of production and education, and promoting apprenticeship pilot. Firstly analyzes the background of reform, and then summarizes the major reform measures.Chapter Six reviews the reform of the British Apprenticeship since 2009.Chapter Seven learns from the reform of the British apprenticeship, and put forward some suggestions and inspirations for the development of our country.
