| British art college has a long history and it is well known all over the world. There are many talents coming from these colleges, the emergence of these labors created a contemporary British fashion trend all around the world. Meanwhile art colleges have duty to cultivate new creative fashion labors for updated fashion industry needs. In recent years, our national fashion industry is developing and the needs of professional labors are growing. Research on fashion designer education in British art colleges, it has considerable significance for the Chinese fashion designer education.In this study, the author adopted literature research to collect a number of relevant documents and studied the subject systematically. First of all, it based on the review of Chinese and British art colleges` fashion designer education development history. Then it theoretical analysed the characteristics about cultivation of fashion designer by taking Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in UK and Central Academy of Fine Art in China as examples.Moreover, it presented some comparative researches of fashion designer education`s differences and its reasons between Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and Central Academy of Fine Art. It contained the differences of Chinese and British current fashion culture development,the differences of Chinese and British fashion industry development, the differences of Chinese and British national policies about fashion designer education and the differences of enterprises and art colleges`s joint fashion designer courses. At last, this paper would propose some advice of the development of Chinese fashion designer education about our education`s direction shouldpay more attention on creative education, furthermore improvement skills of art college teachers,reinforce national enterprises work with art colleges for joint fashion designer courses and assist students in establishing and operating fashion brands. |
