Lesson study, teaching and research is an important form of primary and secondary schools, has great significance for the formation of school teaching culture. In recent years, whether foreign or domestic primary and secondary institutions in developed countries, are beginning to pay attention to and develop lesson study and teaching research has made great progress and improvement. In Yueyang, many schools also have launched a Lesson study, according to the actual needs of teaching different disciplines and constantly adjust the form of Lesson Study, to better meet the needs of different disciplines and research activities. Lesson study is a new way of teaching and research, the fundamental driving force from the actual needs of schools teaching different disciplines, with strong and unique situation. Therefore, we present situation at home and abroad on the basis of research on the Lesson Study in Yueyang Baling Middle school English teaching and research practice Lesson study, for example, through Lesson Study tracking, observation and analysis of the implementation process, enhance a lesson the value of case studies, and Yueyang Baling Middle school English teaching and research Lesson study analyzed the existing problems, propose appropriate improvement strategies, to provide a reference value for lesson study. The main contents include:First, analyze the background of the case study, namely, the basic situation of Yueyang Baling Middle school English teaching and research, as well as the basis for its conduct Lesson study were analyzed.Secondly, a detailed analysis of the implementation process in Yueyang Baling Middle school English Lesson Study Research Group, on Lesson Study topics, coaching teachers selected observation scale design, the first after-school workshops, teaching re-engineering, compare two classrooms, and the second after-school workshops and research report writing and other aspects of careful analysis, to grasp the practice of Lesson Study Research Group from the micro level.Thirdly, practice Yueyang Baling Middle School English Lesson Study Research Group to reflect the macro level excavated for teachers’ professional development, individual development of teachers, teaching and research as well as the value of the overall development of lesson study school; the same time, Baling Secondary School English Lesson Study Research Group in practice the problems of analysis and reflection.Finally, according to the analysis of problems in practice Lesson study, we propose improvement strategies of middle school English Lesson Study.
