Golf Course Turf Maintenance Measures And The Quality Evaluation In The Northern China

Through conducting interviews, investigations and collecting data of the golf courses in Beijing and Hebei Province which are the representative areas of north china,this research investigates and makes a conclusion about the goal course turf management and the quality evaluation system of goal course turf.At present, golf courses of the North China make a great progress in respects of the turf selection, turf-bed construction, turf planting and turf management. Most golf courses can take scientific and reasonable management methods to construct which is in conformity with the international standards. The administrators pay more attention on the protection of environment and water resources, while ignoring the bad effects to the turf from the pesticides. The irrigation water amount is still higher than standard, so effective methods should be adopted to save water. Besides, the management and evaluation system of goal course turf should be changed so as to have a reasonable distribution of turf functional zone.The structure of knowledge, education background and comprehensive quality of the turf management personnel have greatly improved. However, the number of the turf management personnel is less than the ideal personnel allocation. There is a lot of work needed to raise, the staff treatment, work environment, training and promotion, social security of all employees.The turf management and quality evaluation results of college golf courses which meet the demands of teaching, training and scientific reveal that: low maintenance cost and low-energy golf courses are feasible and promote the golf development.
