So, how to make full use of the sports facilities especially Middle school and primary school sports facilities, to create a better fitness condition for the public, and to ease the contradiction between the large number of physical exercise and the lack of sports facilities have become a problem which has strong practical significance.The article is focused on the situation of the sports ground opening to the outside world in primary and middle schools in wuxi city, it adapts the following research methods, such as documentation, survey, interview, mathematical statistics and logical analysis. To conduct a comprehensive investigation and study, and to explore a countermeasure which is suit for sports ground opening to the outside world in primary and middle schools in wuxi city. The result of the study is as follows:First, thanks to the municipal government’s policy support, the proportion of Wuxi city school sports venues open to the public has been in a leading position in the whole province.Second, according to the survey of the primary and middle schools in Wuxi city, 35 sports facilities are open to the society, but the open degree is different. Most schools’ outdoor playground are for free, but their indoor venues are charge for open.Third, In Wuxi city, during the working days after school, weekends and holidays,elementary and middle schools’ sports venues are open to the public. During these time, walking,jogging,badminton,volleyball and football are the most popular sports that surrounding residents participate in.Fourth, the disadvantages which affect elementary and middle schools sports venues’ open to the public are as follows:the shortage of funds,Security responsibility is not clear which leads to the effect of normal teaching order,and the school leaders pay less attention to it.Sixth, the problem on elementary and middle schools sports venues’ open to the public are as follows: Security responsibility does not reach the designated position, The lack of management personnel and funds, and the policy is not sound.To put forward the relevant countermeasures against the existing problems:First, improve policies and regulations, put an end to the "one size fits all".Second, changing ideas, improving understanding.Third, promote the image of the school, and reasonably guide the residents’ physical exercise.Fourth, pay attention to the cultivation and introduction of management talents.Fifth, strengthen campus security management.Sixth, expanding sources of funding and increasing investment.
