At present,with the high school new curriculum reform,the discussion about high school English teachers’ professional development is becoming more and more fierce. But the study of English teachers’ professional development is rare, not to mention the rural high school English teachers. Therefore,this article will choose rural high school English teachers’ professional development as the main research object. Complying with the inner needs of front-line teachers, on the one hand the study can effectively promote the teachers’ professional development and the all-round development of students’ quality,thus promote the current school education reform; On the other hand, the improvement of teachers’ professional quality can promote teachers’ career development and their own self-improvement. This research is divided into the following five parts:The first part,the necessity of the research on the rural high school English teachers’ professional development are summarized. It’s the requirement of the globalization of the world,the needs of the development of English subject, the needs of the new curriculum reform,the English teachers’ own development needs and the needs of improving the students’ overall quality.The second part,on the basis of further exploration, I explore the current situation of rural high school English teachers’ professional development. In this chapter,I analyze the main problems of the rural high school English teachers’ professional development.The third part, based on the problems of rural high school English teachers’ professional development, this paper further analyses the reasons.Rural high school English teachers’ overall quality is low and narrow. The essay discusses several aspects,such as learning resources channels.The forth part,aiming at the problems existing in the rural high school English teachers’ professional development,this chapter puts forward the corresponding solutions.The fifth part,summarize the whole paper’s ideological argument. |
