Since 2003, China promulgated《 the "full-time compulsory education of ordinary senior middle school English curriculum standard(experiment) 》,since(new standard) not only puts forward new requirements to education and the teacher but also give teachers a new historical mission. However, in the teaching, how to change the new curriculum concepts into classroom teaching. the text Based on the "all for the students, attaches great importance to the students, fully rely on students" for the purpose of students the education idea. the combination of high school English reading teaching practice. through reading, students can accumulate language knowledge, consolidate the grammar, expand vocabulary, cultivate language sense, understand intercultural knowledge, in order to improve effectively the reading ability of English. The total, basis of English reading teaching is transferred to the quality of people cultivation in the English reading teaching, making reading teaching is full of life and vitality, letting the students to participate in the autonomous learning classroom atmosphere. This paper mainly based on the theories of autonomous learning, cooperative learning theory, the theory of inquiry learning, English reading related theory and so on,building a kind of stimulate students’ initiative and creativity, cultivating students’ autonomous learning ability, so that it promotes the all-round development of students reading class teaching mode----“ Student-based teachingthe concept of teaching mode, which can cultivate the research and practice of high school students English reading ability. This pattern was applied to high school English reading teaching, aiming to solve some of the problems in the process of the experiments to explore the new English reading. faced in the classroom teaching, we optimize the English reading teaching, so as to promote common development between teachers and students. it is the key to the current new curriculum standard. The student’s main body status makes them focus on participating in teaching activities, so that it makes them become really host of the classroom learning.The purpose of this paper is to explore “cultivation Study and practice of English reading ability of senior high school students of the concept of Student-based teaching” about senior high school English reading teaching. The first chapter focuses on the definition of related concepts and research status about student-based teaching and reading. The second chapter is about the theoretical basis of this “Student-based teaching ”idea: including autonomous learning theory, cooperative learning theory, and learning theory. the third chapter analyzes the status quo and existing problems of high school English reading. The fourth chapter focuses on the cultivatation high school students’ English reading ability in the their “student-based teaching concept”.The Fifth chapter is to train students’ reading ability practice under “student-based teaching” this idea.
