The Application Of Red Culture On The Ideological And Political Education In Colleges And Universities

Culture is an important manifestation of the soft strength of a country and shows a national humanistic quality and spirit connotation which indicates the actual potential of a country’s development and future direction. If we want to build a well-off society and realize the great rejuvenation of China, we must promote the development and prosperity of socialist culture, build a new upsurge in socialist culture, and improve the soft strength of our country. We must pay attention to the effect of advanced culture, educating people, serving the society and promoting the development of society which was reported in the 18th Chinese National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The red culture is an important component of Chinese advanced culture which was generated from the special historic condition and is given a new era meaning as the time goes by. The red culture possesses rich connotation and vivid form and has strong educational function to appeal, convince and shock people. If we combine the red culture with ideological and political education, education contents will be rich and the education methods improved; on the other hand, the effect and target of political education would be enhanced. Also it could help the student to establish a correct world outlook and philosophy of life and value in the complex social environment by understanding the situation.The thesis consists of an introduction and other three parts to discuss the application of red culture on the ideological and political education in colleges and universities. The introduction mainly expounds the aim, the significance and status at home and abroad, the methods and the innovation of this thesis. In the first part, the theory related to red culture was analyzed. "Culture" and "red culture" was defined at first, and the formation process of red culture was described. And then spirit connotation and character of the red culture are summarized. In the second part, the problems about the application of red culture on the ideological and political education in colleges and universities are found. From four aspects we discussed the necessity to apply red culture on the ideological and political education in colleges and universities as the following:lack of specific legal norms, the insufficient use of the red culture, the impact of multiple values and the limited environment of political education. The third part is the key part of the paper, thinking about the way to strengthen the ideological and political education by red culture. This paper puts forward some new opinions on the application of ideological and political education in the colleges and universities from the basic principles, the goal of education and innovation methods, in order to provide a useful reference in the higher education by red culture.
