| With the development of special education in our country, the system of education for the disabled support gradually improved, but mentally retarded children, especially the rural education of mentally retarded children still exist many difficulties and problems. So it need to family, school and social cooperation, further improve the mentally disabled children education support network. In the contacting and interviewing with mentally disabled children and their parents, school teachers and school workers, we find that the mentally disabled children and their families in rural areas needs and there’s a big gap between actually received help. Mentally disabled children education is faced with great difficulties, therefore to increase support for rural disabled children’s education, especially from the perspective of social work involved in the mentally disabled children education support network is very important.In this paper, guided by the theory of social support, the support from informal formal, informal social support,quasi official formal, offical social support and professional technical support four points of view, analysis the rural disabled children education to support the status quo, explore the rural disabled difficulties and problems encountered in the process of child education. Must provide formal support for village of service content, service projects, less number of service can provide less, can’t meet the demand of all children in need in the village, it is hard to meet the mentally disabled children in such aspects as education, health care needs. Formal support performance for people-run non-enterprise units lack of funds, teachers’ pressure, low professional identity, on the policy, attaches great importance to the low degree of mentally retarded children’s education, mentally retarded children’s social participation is low. Professional technical social support is characterized by less, less service category, lack of professionalismBy using the method of social work to rural support mentally disabled children. First of all, the article use the method of case work, alleviate parents anxiety, negative emotions and promote psychological and social development, provide professional technical support for the mentally retarded children’s parents; Secondly, the article use the method of team work and meet the rural disabled children’s parents in emotional, information and the demand of social relation network, etc, to promote service of self-help and mutual help between team members, provide informal support for mentally retarded children’s parents and professional technical support; Finally, try to design community activities, provide support for mentally retarded children from different angles, including the government’s money and material of formal social support, community residents set up support groups provide formal social support, and volunteers provide professional technical support and social workers. Based on this, puts forward the prospect to the development of the rural disabled children education:to strengthen the construction of the government for mentally retarded children school, provide education opportunities for the rural disabled children; Pay more attention to the training of special education teachers, and improve the special-education teacher’s professional knowledge and ability; Establishment of mentally retarded children parent support groups, strengthen the informal support systems for the support of parents; Attention and improve the mentally disabled children education status, improve the social recognition of the importance of education for mentally retarded children. |
