The textbook is the basis of teachers on their activities. How to use textbooks will affect the quality of the effectiveness of curriculum implementation and teaching effect. That teachers use textbook in high efficiency not only can improve teaching quality, but also can effectively promote the professional development of teachers.This paper mainly adopts the methods of questionnaire and interview, which with 214 mathematics teachers in 16 primary school as the research object, analyzing from the use of pre class, in class and after class three aspects of novice teachers and excellent teachers textbooks. Based on the collected data, the novice teachers and excellent teachers the use of the textbook before class, teacher according to the content of the textbook design teaching activities, reference to other versions of textbooks to get a integration of resources, textbook content contains the basic skills and methods of mathematical thinking and the interpretation of textbook analysis, there is a significant difference. In class: Teachers use textbooks based on curriculum standards, and there are significant differences in the contents of the textbooks. After class: the purpose of the use of textbooks for teachers is that students are required to read textbooks, there are significant differences. After understanding the differences between novice teachers and excellent teachers in the use of textbooks, the differences were found. Further research shows the differences of novice teachers with excellent teachers in using textbook. Results are as follows:(1) the master of the compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(2011 edition)”;(2) from the set of textbooks to grasp taught in textbooks;(3) the content of the textbook use;(4) the basic idea and basic activity experience show;(5) the use of curriculum resources.According to the differences between novice teachers and excellent teachers’ use of textbooks, put forward the following suggestions for the novice teachers:(1) The increase of the "compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard(2011 edition)" the explanation and cognition;(2) Master the whole system of primary school textbooks;(3) Flexible "interpretation" textbooks;(4) Change of a single reference and own self teaching idea into the teaching design;(5) Improve the awareness of independent development, and learn and reflect actively.
