The Phenomenon Of College Students Using Mobile Phone

Mobile phones has always played an important role in our lives. With the characteristics of communication convenience, timeliness of interaction to obtain information quickly and huge information, mobile phone is popular among the people of all ages and has gradually become a necessity in our lives. College students, a group of young people who has high level of knowledge and high-quality, adapt to the changes of social environment more quickly than other groups for the acceptance of new technology rapidly. Mobile phones with powerful function makes it to the gradual deepening of college students daily life and further become the essentials of life for students. Although mobile phone making our life more convenience, the frequent using of mobile phones also have produced a series of social problems, such as mobile phone dependence, cellphone addiction, driving safety and even psychological problems.Through the questionnaire survey participant observation and non structural interview research method of college students, the author try to analyze students’ mobile phone dependence. Based on the theory of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and combined with college students cellphone using time daily life, occasion and the psychological situation on the phone, the author try to analyze the dependent status, causes and the influence of mobile phone dependence for college students. The results show that:First, college students generally have mobile phone dependence. Between college students, regardless of grade, gender, college and other conditions of the difference, there is a certain degree of mobile phone dependence; college students mobile phone dependence with the grade of different "V" distribution: freshman students were less reliant on mobile phones, sophomore reliance on mobile phones the most serious, three big, big four students and above the mobile phone dependence degree is relatively low; occasions and time affect the college students of mobile phone dependence: more leisure time mobile, phone dependence more serious.Second, private demand driven is the key reason of the mobile phone dependence of college students. All kinds of mobile phone software to meet the students physiological, safety, social, esteem and self actualization needs, mobile phone dependence of college students have an important factor, the social demand is high students mobile phone dependence of the most important reasons.Third, college students who have mobile phone dependence phenomenon perform different in the virtual world and the real world. It provides a contrast for the hidden and freedom in the virtual world of and the openness and constraints in the real world. College students in the virtual world is free, and in the real world is arrested beam, between both of them college students perform really different.Fourth, depend on the phone itself is not reasonable, but we can not ignore the mobile phone bring some benefits. Mobile phone dependence of the phenomenon itself is not reasonable, but we cannot ignore cell phone for college students to bring benefits: it enables a mobile life, mobile learning is possible; become students from society to society transformation of an important tool is fully display its self carrier of college students.
