With the rapid development of advertising industry, the advertising education has made great achievements, but also exist a lot of serious problems at the same time. The Advertising Competition for college students is an innovational attempt to change the advertising industry situation. The Advertising Competition combine the resources of the advertisers, medias, advertising companies, educational departments, colleges and students. According to the demand of advertising employ market, overcome the disadvantages of traditional advertising teaching and link the relationship between colleges and the colleges with the advertising industry. The Advertising Competition has played an important role in promoting the development of the whole advertising, it’s warmly accepted by the students and educators. Although advertising competition has getting more mature during the practice, but the theory research of advertising competition is still in a primary stage. Most of the existing researches are depends on the experience thinking of the educators, lack of scientific and systematic study of advertising competition itself. The lack of research is easy to cause the deviation of the Advertising Competition practice and not good for the positive development of the Advertising Competition.To use of the documentary method, interview method, questionnaire survey and other research methods in this paper, combining the qualitative and quantitative, to use the scientific&systematic way to research the influence of the Advertising Competition for Sichuan colleges’advertising subject. Firstly, using the documentary method to analysis 8 colleges which have the advertising subjects in Sichuan, to know the education courses, training target, teaching conditions in advertising etc. Secondly, using the questionnaire survey and interview method to analysis the Sichuan advertising subject students&teachers, in order to research the situation of their Advertising Competition understanding and the factors which affect the understanding and limit the development of the Advertising Competition. Through the questionnaire survey and interview method, we find the students are not only realize the influence of Advertising Competition in professional level, industry perceptions and promoting the employment; also pay attention to the influence in promote the personal&team ability, enhance self-confidence and to develop professional spirit. During the interview, the advertising department teachers also highly praise in the Advertising Competition,they thought advertising competition is playing very important role in the reformation of studying with the theory and teaching. Finally, during this research also reflects some restrictions of the Advertising Competition development, this paper also showing the suggestions and methods on the future development of Advertising Competition to solve these problems.
