Research On Morality Education In Junior High Schools In Wuhu City

The drastic changes of environment have occurred both domestically and abroad in recent years, which bring a series of problems for morality education in junior high school. In Wuhu, the morality education is thus confronted with new opportunities and challenges. The morality educators should adapt to the trend of social diversity and economic globalization to enhance their own morality standards, make full use of resources, promote relevant scientific researches, and improve methods to make sure the students’ healthy growth. This article will elaborate the development of morality education both in China and overseas after statement of the purpose and significance of the research. After in-depth investigation and analysis, the status quo of morality education among junior high schools in Wuhu is understood, which is in terms of formation of morality education team, morality education course teaching, organization of morality education activities, improvement of morality education mechanism. Through the analysis of survey data of morality education in junior high schools in Wuhu city, the following problems are found:insufficient in its coverage and lack of local characteristics, lack of connection with families and society, lack of mental health guidance for students, lack of professional quality of morality education work team. The author will analyze the reasons for the problems and provide countermeasures for problems:to establish courses with local characteristics of Wuhu, to construct comprehensive morality education network, to combine mental health education with morality education, to nurture an educators’ team with high quality. The author opined the morality education of junior high schools in Wuhu should closely combine with other works at school and set students as principal subject, which serves the students and makes them satisfied.
