Female teachers are the main force of the teachers in universities.To promote female teachers’ professional development, and improve the comprehensive quality of female teachers, which not only improve the quality of higher education, but also demonstrate the fairness and equality of education.That exist four questions in the process of female teachers’ professional development in Anhui university:1. female teacher’s personal achievement motivation is weak, lack of initiative and enthusiasm of the professional development; 2.female teachers did not have the professional development plan, did not establish clear development concept, the development direction is deviated; 3. the lack of support and guidance of professional development, development environment is bad; 4. the double pressure of teaching and scientific research, female teachers are hard to load.Three major factors affecting female teachers’ professional development:the first is the badness of gender discrimination which increase competition environment, limit the development of female teachers; Followed by the gender stereotype mode reduces the female career levels, female teachers didn’t get the full potentials, their development needs are not met; Finally is the traditional negation of female gender division of labor value, weaken the success of women teachers’ motivation.To promote female teachers’ professional development, At government level: build a fair competition environment, including creating a fair social and cultural environment and improve the social policy environment, and to create a fair and just competition environment for the female teacher’s professional development. For female teachers in high school level:provide a certain amount of humanistic care and additional system security, listen to the heart-felt wishes of the female teachers, and take specific countermeasures, such as reforming evaluation system, to set up the lifelong training system, create female talent selection system and so on, the priority to promote female teachers’ professional development. In the teachers’ individual level: first of all, women teachers shall cultivate gender subject consciousness, promote gender advantages, to create their own social value; Secondly, female teachers need to enhance self-efficacy, dare to challenge, to improve personal achievement motivation; Finally, female teachers should master the connotation of professional development, make clear the professional development plan, set up the concept of lifelong learning, constantly optimize the knowledge structure.Promote female teachers’ professional development, lead to improve the academic level of universities, improve the quality of higher education, inspire the whole society concerned about women survival and development.
