With the increasing of chances for women to accept the higher education, the number of them being university teachers is going up year after year and it has been a high proportion in the whole university teachers. The female university teachers are the significant power of promoting the unceasing development of university, and they are also the contributors of university's reformation. Recently, the attention and research on the profession development of the university teachers has progressed quiet greatly. But in the whole research, the main part is about the female teachers'healthy mind or the balance of work and family. There is little of special research on their career development, which is a blind spot of the research on the career development of university teachers. It is the mostly reason of doing this paper.Study purpose: (1) It analyzes the important factors and the main peculiarities of affecting the career development of the female university teachers, which offers the points for their better developing. (2) It put forward the countermeasures for speeding their career development, which offers the academic supports and practice guidance for winning and exerting their top potential. (3) It brings society gender into the career development research, which spurs the university organizations paying more attention on the particularity of their career development and leads the female teachers thinking about their selves'career development more reasoningly and externally. (4) It has practical meanings for reducing their role-conflicts, solving the conflict between work and family and exploiting the female faculties. Study measures: (1) Superior assessment. (2) Questionnaire investigation. (3) In-depth interview.There are some main research conclusions: (1) The process of female university teachers'career development has 4 phases: pullulating, stabilization, rising and declining, and the teachers would go through part or all of them. (2) The development goal is including the explicit goal and the internal goal, and the latter is the key. (3) The main influencing factors are from person and from organization. (4) There are there problems in the process: sole-conflict, the glass ceiling and lower scientific research ability. (5) There are three measures to promote their career development: the lays of society, university organization and person.
