In high school English learning, writing is not only the effective methods to learn English, also the basic skills which must be mastered by high school students. In addition, English writing can fully reflect the situation of the students’ English comprehensive ability. And the English written expression tested on all aspects of the students’ English learning, not only test the students’ basic knowledge of English, also need students to have a certain logic thinking ability and innovation ability. However, it is not easy for most of the high school students to complete a flawless English composition. Therefore, if we really want to improve students’ writing level, and make it service better to the students’ English learning. We need research thoroughly on high school students English writing, and the study of writing errors is one of the important parts.This study uses the following research methods: documentary research method, questionnaire investigation, interview investigation method and the use of automatic correcting system composition, Juku Correcting Network to correct the compositions of the students. These methods can help us to know the students’ error types of writing and find out the causes of the errors, and provide beneficial suggestions for English writing teaching. Firstly it is the documentary research method, I can know something about the related theory of English error analysis and the domestic and foreign research situation of the errors in English writing through the literature, and then sort the relevant information to prepare for the next study. Secondly, using the questionnaire investigates the situation of students’ English writing from the following four dimensions, namely the students’ attitude towards writing, the writing habits, the writing difficulties, and the teachers’ feedback. In addition, using interview survey method finds out the students’ writing conditions from the perspective of teachers. Finally, the most important thing is to use the Juku Correcting Network to analyze of the compositions which are submitted by the students and calculates the error type and quantity. Then, the author of this paper analyze the reasons of students ’ errors using the data which are rendered by the various dimensions of Juku Correcting Network.The research results show that the type of students writing errors in the collected texts is thirteen, by analysis, respectively, can be classified as three major categories: vocabulary, grammar and discourse. And the grammatical error is the largest number and the highest proportion in these three kinds of errors, the rest is lexical errors and discourse errors in turn. The reasons for the errors have a close relationship with the differences on Chinese and English in vocabulary, grammar and the student’s writing attitude, habits. In addition, the causes of student s’ writing mistakes include the lack of the teacher s’ correcting feedback, the wrong attitude toward student writing errors and the unreasonable error correction strategies.Finally, according to the results of this study, the author puts forward some suggestions to English writing teaching: first, the teachers should have a proper view of errors and treat the errors of the students rationally; second, to attach importance to teaching from the perspective of comparative; third, do a good job of correcting compositions; fourth, increasing students’ language input by paying attention to reading and reciting activities; fifth, stimulating students’ interest in writing and guiding students to develop good writing habits.
