College students’ beliefs greatly influence country’s future and destiny because of their important status. Marxist belief proved to be a scientific belief and it has been dominated in China’s ideological field. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that the belief in Marxism is a political soul of the Chinese Communists, which shows the extreme importance of faith. Therefore, paying attention to cultivating Marxist Belief in college students is the most important task of universities in new period.Faith is human’s spiritual pillar of survival and development. Marxist faith as a scientific belief, possesses the characteristics of realistic, sublime advanced with times. Its cultivation of play a huge role in guiding of the personal development of students, the long-term development of the country, etc. It not only relates to students’ forward momentum and direction of development, but also relates to the success of socialism and the party and the country’s future and destiny. However, cultivating Marxism faith in the contemporary college students not only refers to the basic theory, also includes the theory on sinicization of the Marxist faith, which can let the Marxist faith become more concrete and provide a firm and realistic basis in order to ensure the full and scientific faith cultivation. Focus on the current faith status of university students, in general, their belief in Marxism is quite firm, but some college students had manifested the phenomenon of weakening of Marxist beliefs, irrationality and secularization. Causes of the problem stem from the combined effects of internal and external aspects, External problems blamed foreign influence, error demonstrations of party members and leaders’ corruption and the lack of universities and families in foster faith. And the internal issues have involved in students’ desire for emotional as well as curiosity.
