Belief, a kind of energy, not only guides people to act, but also directs a country towards prosperity. A successful person must have the support from a strong, adhering faith. A man of belief can change the course of his or her life by elegant beliefs. Lofty beliefs can arouse the thoughts of the nation and raise national synergy. A powerful nation, therefore, must have noble beliefs.After a long course of social practice, Marxism belief has become China’s gracious belief, which is a civilized and scientific belief. Since opening-up, China’s productivity has unprecedentedly improved. Economic system has changed from planning economy into market economy. At the mean time, living standard and living quality have improved dramatically. Some weaknesses and disadvantages, however, have aroused synchronously, such as, greed, the pursuit of material and money, mental chaos, self losing. These also arouse doubt and confusion towards Marxism.College students are one of the most sensitive groups among contemporary people. They are the successors of the construction of socialism and shoulder the future of the whole nation and Chinese people. But they are also influenced by some negative values which confuse, undercut and fluctuate Marxism.This dissertation is divided into five chapters:the first chapter states the research objectives and significance and domestic and overseas research approaches, ideas and creativity of the method this dissertation. Part Two analyzes the meaning of Marxism belief, characteristics and functions.This dissertation, whose objective is to research and analyze the questions that contemporary students have towards Marxism, hopes to positively set guidance to the belief of Marxism for students. Contemporary students have altered their belief from practicing to theoretical trust. This change has proved that Marxism has overwhelmingly influenced Chinese students in a very active and positive way, providing a course and approach which guide students to firmly adhere to this belief.
