Enlightenment Of Liang Qi-chao’s Ideology Of Cultivating Citizens On Citizen Education Of History

Liang Qichao put forward the "new citizen" idea, which aimed at cultivating citizens.First of all, Liang Qichao discussed the necessity, the urgency and importance of cultivating citizens. Liang Qichao put forward the expectations of cultivating citizens.Liang Qichao hoped that he can promote the morality, wisdom and capacity of ordinary people. Under the influence of cultivating citizens,Liang Qichao put forward the conception of innovating history.He criticized the old historiography and promoted new methods to create a new historiography.By the analysis of curriculum, textbooks and practice, it is found that there are some problems in current history education in citizenship education. First,compared with right,the importance of duty is exaggerated.Second,the expression of the level of capacity is not clear. Third,textbooks are not vivid and have some other issues. Liang Qichao’s ideology of cultivating citizens has some revelation on history teaching. First of all, the function of history should be brought into play to highlighting the civic education.Secondly, combining the characteristics of history should be combined to develop the civic education. Thirdly, appropriate methods should be taken to carry out the civic education.
