| There is a lot of heterogeneity in different ethnic marriages and family status.Although in China researches of ethnic marriages and families are popular, their comparisons in different ethnics are rare. As a typical area, ethnically mixed region Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture contains main ethnic marriages and family status(Han, Bai, Yi, Hui, Lisu). In this area, the proportion of unmarried adult in Lisu is highest while Han is lowest; the spouse proportion of Han is highest while Lisu is minimum; divorce proportion of Hui is highest while Yi is lowest; the population of the widowed Yi is highest and Han is lowest. All ethnic groups in marital status also showed gender differences: Han, Lisu and Hui mainly contain two generations of families; Bai and Yi mainly families are in three generations. In addition, each ethnic to endogamy is based on the proportion of male and female and in the ethnics demographic differences are significant. Through discourse analysis, we can conclude Han marriages and families are mainly influenced by economic situation; Bai marriages and families are affected by religious culture; Yi is affected by customs,geographical and economic projections; The marriages and families of Muslim by history, religious education and economic development; Lisu’s marriages and familis are greatly influenced by traditional practices and regions.For the development of social economic in ethnic minority areas, marriage and family heterogeneity exists in different ethnics and this provide an important basis of empirical reference to ethnic unity, progress and tackling poverty. |
