Covalent bond is the main content of the structure and nature of material in Chemical Elective Course 3, which plays an important part in the high school chemistry. It has a prolonged significance for students to understand the mysteries of human exploration of the material structure and the research of material components, to know the relationship between material structure and nature, to develop the thinking ability, and to improve the ability of analyzing and solving problems. The teaching content of covalent bond is too abstract and learning it needs more space to imagine and the traditional teaching mode is also difficult to break through the problem of teaching the difficult points effectively. In view of these current situations and under the guidance of the basic theory of modern teaching, the modern psychology and socialist modern construction, the author try to build" a cooperative teaching pattern based on the information technology" and used in teaching practice, which can promote effective teaching and learning of the covalent bonds.This research mainly consists of five aspects:Part one:This part expounds the background of topic, the problems and assumptions, the theory meaning and realistic meaning about research, contents and methods of doing this research.Part two:This part explains the purpose, significance and principles about integration between the information technology and curriculum, integration between the information technology teaching modes. It also illustrate the connotation, theoretical foundation, characteristics, domestic and abroad research of cooperative teaching mode, basic research of cooperative teaching mode at home and abroad in this paper. Meanwhile it made simple introduction to the status of covalent bond teaching research.Part three:This is the core part of the paper, which makes a theoretical research on application of information technology cooperative teaching mode based on covalent bond teaching. First of all, analyses the teaching material content of covalent bond. Secondly, it expounds the feasibility of the experiment model which is applied in teaching and the influencing factors of implementation. Then it introduces and designs the basic program and form of the cooperative teaching pattern based on the information technology. Finally, it points out the disadvantages of traditional teaching evaluation, and builds a teaching evaluation program chart about the cooperative teaching pattern based on the information technology.Part four:It is a simple review of teaching practice about some application of cooperative teaching mode before the experimental teaching of covalent bonds in other teaching contents.Part five:It is a teaching practice research which is based on this model. The author carried out a teaching practice and reflection in one senior high school in Fangchenggang City, and did an experimental intervention in Class 9, Senior 2. After the experiment, the author used SPSS 16.0 software and excel software to carry on the statistical analysis of chemistry test scores which the students took the exam before and after the testing. Under this statistical analysis, it aims to test the acceleration of the teaching of covalent bond under the cooperative teaching pattern.Part six:It summarizes the research results and points out the deficiency of the research, and put forward the prospect for further research. According to the researching report, the results indicate that The Cooperative Teaching Method Based on Information Technology can advance the teaching on covalent bond; arouse students’ interest and attitude towards chemistry learning; enhance the cooperation between T-T, T-S and S-S; improve the students’ ability to analyze and deal with problems; make use of more perceptual rather than static materials to break through the key and difficult points in chemistry teaching; increase students’ accomplishments, which are significant different in the post-test of the two classes. (p=0.019<0.05)Limited to time and the ability of the researchers, this study has certain limitation and needs to explore, test and improve in the study of subsequent practice and research constantly.
