With the extensive application of the information technology,the traditional geography teaching mode, teaching methods is facing great challenges. At the same time,IT has brought vigor and vitality for geography teaching,which makes classroom teaching occurring substantial changes.Therefore,geography teaching relies heavilier on information technology.The geography teaching mode of organising information technology and curriculum integration in teaching geography aims to select the appropriate IT tools to better solve the problems of teaching,so as to improve the quality of teaching and learning efficiency. Thus,this research has an important research value on promoting geography teaching.First,this paper mainly describes research background,significance of the educational information and the new curriculum research,analyses the status both in domestic and foreign studies concluding the revelation from the foreign research and proposes the route of the research technology research methods.Secondly,by studying the literatures,we elaborate the concept,structure, characteristics of information technology curriculum integration and teaching mode then discusse the theoretical basis of teaching model from modern learning theory and teaching theory.Then,the teachers and students of Baoji City in secondary schools were surveyed through being asked questionires.Through the investigation,the writer learned the application of informational technology of geography classroom teaching in Baoji. After analyzing the questionnaires we drawn that the teachers have low information literacy,and that the teaching modes are too single,and proposed how to build good information environment and conduct teachers’IT training.Again,we use comparative analysis, drawing the principles of teaching design patterns in other subjects,building design principles of GIS teaching mode, which is also called theory with practice,emphasizing self-learning,cooperative learning and inquiry-based learning,at the same time focuses on overall development of students’ information literacy.And under the guidanceof design principles we build three teaching types-problem-solving,and self-monitoring and multimedia-assisted,then design the corresponding teaching cases.Finally, I draw the following conclusions:(1) The survey found that the majority of geography teachers can use modern information technology in the teaching of geography,but the skills of the geography teacher s for information technology needs to be further improved since they just consider PPT as the main part of information technology with a single geography teaching model so the geography curriculum integration is still at a preliminary stage.(2) The informational technology education in China started late,which is also in a low level of development.Although with the rapid development in recent years, the relevant research information technology and curriculum integration has mainly focused on theoretical research and been in a lack of research for geographic informational teaching mode,so the author combine three teaching models faccording to the theory and practice,which has a certain practical significance to guide the practice of teaching geography,enriches geography teaching mode,provids a reference for the teachers of front-line teaching geography.(3) The main theory to build geographic information teaching mode is "Guiding-Dominated" teaching theory, so the author built a teaching model makes both the teachers play a leading role, also fully respects the role of the students.Only in this way can enable students to become the masters of the class, and help students learn to create a democratic and harmonious atmosphere.(4) While teaching mode stable,in the implementation of the geography class,teachers should be flexible basing on geography teaching objective,teaching contents and so on.Geography is often a combination class with a variety of teaching modes, so we cannot choose the teaching modes blindly.
