| Images system of the textbook is a tool to help learners understand the textbook content. But many people don’t realize the importance of the image. They just regard the image as "illustration", and put the image system in the auxiliary position. The number of the image in new teaching materials significantly increased after the new curriculum reform. Also, with the development of science and technology, the types of the image in textbooks have been constantly innovated; among them, analogy image is an indispensable form to convey information in senior high school biological textbooks. It is not only intuitional and vivid image, but also an effective way to promote knowledge transfer by which analogical thinking and image intelligence can be integrated synthetically.In recent years, many scholars have increasingly paid close attention to images, and they have focused their researches on classification, application, comparison and teaching function of images. But the study of a special kind of image has been comparatively uncommon. At the same time, many scholars also did a lot of researches about reasoning theory, teaching practice and teaching strategy research of analogy. The results of researches showed that analogy is good for driving and guiding the students’ divergent thinking. But these researches are mostly verbal reasoning, which do not emphasize the analogy image. So the paper about researches on analogy image is deficient.In order to fully explore educational functions and applied value of analogy image, this thesis will adopt statistical analysis about analogy image appearing in senior high school biological textbooks based on document research, comparative study, statistical analysis and case study, researching the inner structure, characteristic, function and teaching strategies of analogy image. Also, this thesis will quantitatively analyze usage status of analogy image in the aspect of rationality, setting up a series of level to evaluation the quality of analogy image objectively. Otherwise, from the aspects of emotionality, this paper will qualitatively analyze the application of the analogy image, fully find out the educational value of analogy image, and design a feasible teaching plan for analogy image combined with the theoretical research, which provides reference materials for teachers who intend to promote analogical teaching and further enhances the combination of theory and practice of analogy image in textbooks. These are also innovation points in this paper.The results of research show that:(1)The use frequency of analogy image in biological textbooks of high school is not too high, only 13 times in textbooks, which is at a low ratio in whole image system. The analogy image is mainly used in the micro structure, process, principle and other abstract knowledge, often appearing in the compulsory 1 and compulsory 2. The text explanation of analogy image is sufficient enough and the features of it are quite obvious, but suggestive words appear less.(2)Analyzing the content, morphology and characteristics of analogy image, we can see it has a moderate application scope, diverse sources and remarkable characteristics. Also the images selected are close to our life, which can effectively promote knowledge transfer, broaden students’scope of knowledge. At the same time, the analogy image did not overflow or make up a number in order to cater for students’ psychology.(3)Types of analogy image are diverse, among which most are cartoon figure and schematic diagram. Almost all analogy images in the materials are in colors. They are so colorful that they can impress students. In addition, there are various ways for the combinations of text and pictures, showing a trend that text and images are in equal importance.(4)The analogy image has been widely applied in the biological teaching. It can promote students’understanding of biological knowledge and stimulate students’ creative thinking. Also the analogy image possesses teaching theory.Finally, combined with existing analogy teaching strategies, this thesis chooses two typical analogy images to design teaching plans according to the theory of Constructivism, Meaningful Learning Theory and Transfer Theory.All in all, the analogy image in senior high school biological textbooks has various functions and is in high quality. |
