This paper takes Shenjialin village (in Hedian country, Suizhou city, Hubei province) as the research case, on the basis of the collect iterviews of Shenjialin village that author collected, combed villages basic agrarian reform processd during 1949 to 1951.Take the village ordinary peasant political behavior as the research focus.When restore specific circumstances land reform by way of oral histories of ordinary farmers’ political participation,analysis of the influence of traditional thought peasant farmers and political behavior.The study found,traditional research for land reform is not apply for those villages which have intellectual tradition. State power through the land reform gradually penetrate into the vast rural areas in the process is not smooth sailing.Old peasant society to household production units,subsistence mode of production created the soil for generation of small farmers thought.Conservatism, utilitarianism and opportunism affects the political behavior of farmers,Because of the conservative, ordinary farmers unwilling to participate in the land reform,They doubt the ability of the Communist Party,Afraid of landlord,Affected utilitarian ideology, they tangled and contradictory, On the one hand they do not believe in the power of the Communist Party, on the other hand they want to get rid of poverty by changing,but their utilitarian thinking is limited,they have their own views on landlords and exploitation.they are still orderly during share revolutionary gains stage.Because of opportunism, eventually the get the land by different ways.To draw on the successful conclusion for the land reform.In a word, they are timid, they afraid of change.They do not like to express their opinions in public.even in the period of telling the landlord oppression,They also do not want to set up a multi-enemy.They are only willing to hard work, to feed and clothe,This is their greatest happiness.But at the same time,They also have their own philosophy of life,They are hard-working, kind-hearted.
