Research On Traditional Chinese Broadsword And Its Culture

This research is a study of the broadsword, a weapon commonly used in ancient China, as well as an important Chinese martial arts weapon associated with traditional Chinese culture. Weapons are physical manifestations and tools for the interpretation of China’s martial arts culture. Weapons currently have a very important position in Chinese martial arts culture. By researching, reading, and collecting relevant reports, this author discovered that the research on Chinese weapons is limited, and the reports on the broadsword could be easily be counted on one’s fingers. Relying on previous studies, this author used literary analysis and investigative methods to explore the history of the broadsword, the related cultural characteristics, and broadsword research, three different aspects. This paper using literature data method and logic analysis method to explore the deep cultural connotation of traditional Chinese broadsword and broadsword instruments.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.Through an overview of the broadsword, it can be seen that:There are regional and nationality different between broadsword instruments routine; Different broadsword surgery of training routines for different stick or gun, the use of broadsword method each has its own characteristics,and it requires skillful coordination and skill;there are a lot variety types of broadsword,and some different or characteristic between different broadsword and the use of broadsword.2.The broadsword is come from the struggle for production tools,and then develop into weapons of war,Now broadsword taken a lot of time to development to be a martial arts,and play an imporant role in military.Based on the development characteristics in different Times of the broadsword,we can know that compared with sword, stick, gun, the development of the broadsword were more continuity.3.Under the structure of culture , we can know the spiritual and cultural characteristics of the broadsword is demonstrated through the literary characteristics of the broadsword and the broadsword;Through the material change of the broadsword, broadsword danceing and the minority of the broadsword to show the material and cultural characteristics of the broadsword;Related systems by broadsword, and the broadsworde representatives act commentary,the sword culture in martial arts literature and film shows the characteristics of the system and culture of the broadsword.Living habits, combat experience Set up connection of Ethnic minorities and broadsword,and broadsword also contain nationality.From the cultural characteristics of the broadsword,we can know that there are some connection between spiritual and cultural identity, cultural characteristics material, institutional and cultural characteristics of the broadsword.4.As the Chinese culture and the specific historical conditions, In different situations, different historical figures make a different culture to the broadsword.With the development of national,broadsword is not only play the role of people express their emotions, but also carrying worship materialism in practical activities.
